- Synopsis
- A musical set in 1930s Rovno where a returning immigrant pursues a scholar amid rising antisemitism. Set in 1933, this musical follows Charlie, a Polish-born Jew who returns to Rovno after a decade in America to find a bride, and Chava, a young woman working in a hat shop who hopes to continue her studies. As Charlie attempts to court her, Chava remains focused on her academic ambitions while political tensions and antisemitism grow across Europe. The work is created by the team behind The Sabbath Girl: A New Musical and is based on a true story.
