As it stands, the show never quite decides whether it wants to interrogate addiction and deprivation or simply borrow their imagery for texture and that indecision is fatal.

Monsoon deals with the trappings of fame, addiction, and cycles of abuse elegantly, and it would be foolish to miss a performance of this calibre.
