“Overall, David Copperfield is an imaginative piece of theatre that is truly well worth the watching but is even better if you brush up on your Dickens first.”

“Price and the cast have infused delightful stagecraft into this production.”
“Her direction is droll, very rarely buffoonish, and clips along with skill.”
“But Guildford’s Copperfield is dull as tarnished brass: the laughs are labored, the sparkle is incidental, and there is little indication of what puts the Dickens in Dickens.”
