A new waitress sparks chaos in a dark comedy about service, desire, and collapse. Masticate is a darkly comic exploration of workplace tension, human desire, and the fragile balance that keeps everyday life functioning. Set inside a casual dining restaurant, the story follows the arrival of an enigmatic new waitress whose presence disrupts the establishment’s delicate social order. As stress mounts and hidden frustrations rise to the surface, the staff find themselves spiraling toward inevitable chaos. Blending sharp humor with biting social commentary, the play examines how people navigate anger, ambition, and personal connection while maintaining the illusion of excellent customer service.
