- When newlyweds Suzanna and Andrew set up a blind date between Suzanna's caustic best friend Max and Andrew's fragile coworker Becky Shaw, the evening ends in disaster and sets off a chain of emotional fallout. As Suzanna grieves her late father and grapples with her sharp-tongued mother's revelations, the five characters collide over questions of obligation, romance, and how much we owe the wounded people who enter our lives.
